Whoosh is designed like a complex transport management system. The foundation is a sharing platform written by the service's developers. It manages a fleet of scooters. One of the things it does is analyze high demand areas and alerts the service team, which transfers scooters there so that there is enough for everyone. The fee is comparable to the prices for other types of mobile transport, and the joy of riding light and the benefits for the user during peak hours exceed the cost of the service. All of this happens because Whoosh has been built around three main objectives.
How does Whoosh work?
3 points which make Whoosh what it is
Continuous software improvement and the development of existing technologies within the service.
A large fleet of quality scooters.
24/7 service and scooter maintenance in parking areas.

Inside Whoosh is software and non-stop development
The first automated sharing service in the US used Bluetooth technology. The solution was innovative, but it had its drawbacks. Bluetooth was a little patchy, and operators found it difficult to track the scooter when it wasn't in use.
Whoosh decided to place its bets on the Internet of Things (IoT)
This concept allows things to communicate not only with the sharing platform, but also with each other. We've installed an IoT module in each e-scooter. In terms of intelligence, it's comparable to a smartphone, we developed this module for Whoosh in 2018.

The user comes into contact with this software through the app. For us, it's important for the scooters to be especially helpful for people on busy city streets, so the Whoosh app helps you find a scooter, unlock it and start driving faster than a taxi app can get you a car. Every day, a large team of programmers support the operating system and level up any new capabilities to make the service work faster and better.

WHOOSH
scooters
Whoosh scooters are produced by Ninebot, a subsidiary of Xiaomi. These are improved models that cannot otherwise be obtained on the market. They are as safe as possible, they are easy to manage and have no fragile spots.

The service teams carry out maintenance, repairs, charging and washing, and move the scooters around in each city 24/7.

Smart IT technologies are what makes kicksharing simple and convenient, however the ability of the scooter to be used over a long period of time by thousands of people is limited by its battery capacity. Until someone invents a super-capacity battery or solar-powered scooters, a ride on a rental scooter is unlikely to cost the same as a bus ticket. We hope this is only a matter of time.

The base rate is usually €0.2 / minute. The cost per minute usage covers the cost of maintaining all of the scooters in the system.
